Inside the box

The hobby standard for grading submissions is the semi-rigid holder, and for good reason: stiff enough to stop a bend, flexible enough that the card slides out without a fight on the other end. A rigid toploader just does not play that role. This hundred-count pack is sized for a collector sending a first batch, or someone who submits a few times a year and does not want a crate of holders in the closet.

The routine stays sleeve first. Each card goes into a 2.6" x 3.6" soft sleeve, then into the 3 5/16" x 4 7/8" holder, which runs larger than a standard toploader on purpose; the extra room also takes larger-sized cards. Before sealing the box, we like a quick photo of every card for our own records. It costs a minute and saves a lot of guessing later.

What it does well

  • Semi-rigid format made primarily for grading submissions, not a stiff toploader replacement.
  • Outer size of 3 5/16 x 4 7/8 inches leaves room for larger-sized cards.
  • Soft sleeves at 66 x 91 mm ride inside and keep the card face off the holder.
  • A hundred-card count matches one first submission or a few small batches spread through the year.

What 100 holders really means

How far this set goes

Simple arithmetic from the number of shells in the box, so you can match the count to your pile.

Questions about this set

?Is this a hard toploader?

No. It is a semi-rigid holder built mainly for sending cards to grading services, and it is larger than a standard hard sleeve. If you want rigid storage for a box of keepers, our 3x4 toploaders are the better match.

?Is 100 enough for one submission?

For most individual submitters, yes, with spares. A hundred pairs covers one decent-sized batch plus a few cards for the next order, and the leftovers keep in their bag until you are ready to send again.

Pair it with

The other shells in the sleeve-first routine. Not sure which one? Compare them side by side.
